United Nations Fund Launch In Geneva, Switzerland

Happy to announce that our CEO, Saffron Gilbert-Kaluba, is a UK ambassador for the United Nations’ new capital fund set to leverage eco-investments through a blended finance model to transition toward building a climate-conscious economy. This is hugely important to us at The Law Chronicle, where our platform’s environmental plug-in helps our financial services clients in keeping their organisation up to date with environmental, social and governance (ESG) regulation/policies.

H.E. Georges Cohen, the owner of Calivigny Island and an IT tycoon, has been a pioneer through his investment in our fund as he has seen on his own island the deterioration of biodiversity. (He is also a great comedian - we had to stop laughing for the second picture).  Our conversation of his story as a self-made entrepreneur was truly inspiring as he told that despite setbacks you should never fully give up on your dreams. But most importantly, he spoke of the significance of collaboration - especially when fighting for a better future.

It is lovely to be part of an initiative alongside politicians, ambassadors, philanthropists, private companies and public organisations to champion a greater green and blue economy.

The UNWTO's Multi-Partners Trust Fund, a component of the UN NetZero Facility, is poised to provide advisory services and grants aimed at hastening worldwide efforts to achieve net-zero carbon emissions.
